The Ankeny High School concert bands will participate in two contests in the next two weeks. The first is the Adventureland Drake Relays Festival of Bands on April 26th at Southeast Polk High School. The second is the Iowa High School Music Association Large Group Contest on May 4th at Urbandale High School.

The Ankeny High School Concert Bands and the Northview Middle School 9th Grade Band will perform in the Ankeny High School Auditorium at 7:30pm on Tuesday, March 5th. Admission to the concert is free.

The St. Olaf Band concert scheduled for January 30th has been cancelled due to weather.

The Ankeny High School Concert Bands and Percussion Ensemble will present their Holiday Concert on Monday, December 10th at 7:30pm in the Ankeny High School Auditorium.

The fall fundraiser items will be delivered to the high school on Tuesday, December 11th. Students need to pick up their items between the end of the school day and 4:30pm on Tuesday, December 11th. Items will be picked up in the AHS band room. Students will receive their original order forms as well as a collection envelope when they pick up their items.

The Ankeny High School Bands will host the 2012 Gala Concert on Tuesday, November 6th at 7:30pm at the Ankeny High School Auditorium. Admission to the concert is free.

The gala concert will feature both concert bands as well as the final performance of the Ankeny Marching Hawks 2012 show: Dramma Giocoso. There will also be a slide show of images from the season that you will not want to miss.
