The 2025-26 band season has arrived, and we are excited to celebrate the hard-working, dedicated and talented instrumental musicians throughout Ankeny.

This year, we are introducing a new program where businesses and individuals can show their support throughout the entire school year – at band concerts, our annual Mid-Iowa Band Championship competition, Celebration in Brass, and on our digital channels.

On Saturday, October 18, 2025, the Ankeny Hawks and Centennial Jaguars will co-host the annual Mid-Iowa Band Championship involving 23 Iowa high school bands. Thousands of music fans from neighboring communities and across the state will
not only fill our stadium, but also businesses in our community		 In the summer of 2026, the AIM Foundation and the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps will again be hosting Celebration in Brass at the Ankeny Stadium. This marching arts competition showcases some of the most talented brass, percussion, dance and theatrical performers in the world. More than 3,000 spectators travel to Ankeny to support the hundreds of young performers in our community and around the country become their best.
