Busy Start to March for Concert & Jazz Bands

The start of March has been busy for all the bands in the district. On Tuesday, March 3, the Southview 9th grade band and AHS 10-12 band presented their spring concert at AHS.

On March 5, the Parkview 6th grade bands and Southview 8th grade band presented their Spring Concert. See their videos: 6th Crimson, 6th Gold, 6th Maroon, and 8th grade.

Saturday, March 7, the Southview Maroon JazzHawks, Southview Gold JazzHawks, Ankeny Jazz Lab, and Ankeny Jazz Ensemble performed at the 44th Annual Hoover JazzFest. Outstanding soloists included: Quintin Konen, Brandon Engelstad, Kellan Mooi, Jared Sackett, Jesemmy Fairchild, Nadine Quibell, as well as several Southview students.
