On April 20 & 21, Parkview, Southview, and AHS hosted Dr. Damani Phillips, Assistant Professor of Jazz Studies and African-American Music at the University of Iowa.  Dr. Phillips, an alto saxophone player, worked with saxophonists and jazz bands in grades 6-12 for the two days, and performed on a concert on April 21 with all 6 jazz bands.
