Band Camp(August 5-9) is a time to learn music (show music, Star Spangled Banner, school song, and pep band tunes), learn the formations(drill) for the fall show, be fitted for a uniform, and get to know fellow band members.

Here is the schedule:

Monday, August 5th: 1pm – 9pm(we will probably break for supper from 5-6:30)

Tuesday, August 6^th: 1pm – 9pm(we will probably break for supper from 5-6:30)

Wednesday, August 7^th: 1pm – 9pm(we will probably break for supper from 5-6:30)

Thursday, August 8th:  8am – 4pm(we will probably break for lunch from 12-1:30)

Thursday evening from 6-9 is the band card fundraiser.  The students sell discount cards door to door.  The various sections will compete for prizes.  Parents probably need to be involved in transportation.

Friday, August 9th:  8am – 4pm(we will probably break for lunch from 12-1:30)

Friday evening from 6-11 is the parent potluck and band dance in the cafeteria/commons of the High School.  The parents and students eat from 6-8 and the students dance from 8-11. Band Pictures start at 5:15.  Pay for your order that evening.

Things to consider:

• Wear athletic shoes(with good support) and socks.

• Bring your own water bottle and sunscreen to rehearsals.

• Wear shirts that cover your shoulders, wear sunglasses, and wear hats.

• If you need to take care of registration or pay fees for school, leave and come back as quickly as possible.
